Prof. Suryendu Dutta, Department of Earth Sciences has  been selected for the National Geo-science Award-2017. This award is given annually by the Ministry of Mines, Government of India for extraordinary achievements and outstanding contributions in the field of fundamental/applied Geo sciences.
